What were you doing 9 years ago?
january 1997.. i was in my junior year of college probably freezing my ass off trying to get to class across the michigan state campus. i was battling an age old system of corruption wielded by frustrated and angry women who had nothing better to do (sorry, i HAVE to be cryptic. i signed a NDA.) i was begging for the strength to get me through the rough times... to make it through just one more year of college so that i could get my degree and get out of there. i was also only 5 days away from turning 21!
What were you doing 6 years ago?
i was preparing to move to new york about this time 6 years ago. i think that it was actually later in january that i got the bug and started making plans for the big move. i was working for a small internet company north of detroit that got swallowed by a larger internet company based in new york. the company atmosphere in detroit was fun but stagnant and so was my life. i had hit rock bottom only 6 months previously and was finally feeling better about myself and confident enough to swim in bigger seas. it was march 13 (three months later) when i finally packed my car and moved into my grandparent's place in NJ.

i was eating french toast and reading bloglines.
