things are going much better at the gleek homestead lately. in fact, i'm blogging while the peanut is napping. she now goes down for regular naps every three hours during the day! it's quite refreshing. and last night, she slept really well so i feel like a new person, a well rested one. i don't expect this feeling to last, of course, but i'm happy that today will be a day when i don't think about how tired i am. she's not napping in her crib yet... she sleeps in her bouncy chair almost all the time so that she can be somewhat upright. poor thing has acid reflux. hopefully that'll go away soon.

besides watching a lot of the 4400 while i'm feeding the peanut, i've been playing around in ravelry. i know that you've all heard about it so i won't begin to tell you how awesome it is. i'm looking forward to when it's open to the general public so that we can see what you're all making. how cool will that be? thanks goes to jess and casey for kicking major butt on this one. eventually, i'll have all of my projects in there and will ditch backpack for cataloging my knitting. backpack is still a great tool and i'll use it for other things, but ravelry is key to keeping everything straight now. i especially love the fact that i can favorite other people's projects or patterns. now i'll have lots of inspiration at my fingertips!

ok, it's a short post today because i have to upload photos and video from my camera for the next post (yes, i promise i'm going to start posting more often now that the peanut is on a schedule!) so that i can show you what little knitting i have done. in the meantime, here are a few videos i've uploaded to youtube! (click through from the RSS feed to see the videos.. still need to figure out how to get them in the feed.)

We can't get enough of the Peanut! Love the videos :) I don't have sound on my computer at work, so I can't tell if I said something embarrassing in the Rhinebeck video...

She's beautiful!
Glad to hear things are smoothing out a bit for you guys.
I love how her hands are still flailing about like as if they have a mind of their own. Too cute!

I tried using backpack for my crafty projects but never really got everything set up, so ravelry is really, really great (and I was designing my own system very similar when I found out about it so I am REALLY thankful someone else built it! ha).

wow, the peanut is so big and cute! love the videos :)

Scheduled napping is definitely the best, isn't it?! It's so nice to know when you're going to get a break so that you can use all your time more efficiently.

Peanut is absolutely adorable!

Oh, and super-huge thanks again for the Ravelry invite!

hey girl, SO GLAD to hear she's on a nap schedule. I'm loving Ravely too, though it's been hard finding time to load up all the info. I've never heard of backpack, I'll check it out. If you're free maybe we can hang out next week?

I think Son #1's bouncy seat saved my sanity. I glad that at least one parent I know is feeling rested. I think I've gotten a total of ten hours of sleep in the last week. Two here, one there. Nightmare! ;) Get some sleep for me.

It's so bittersweet to see such a tiny little thing in her Boppy... my own little peanut was that little not so long ago, but now is a babbling, wiggling, gigglemonster... hard to believe sometimes that she was that small and young! Enjoy every moment, it's so amazing... xoxo

She's so cute--and those eyes!! I'm glad to hear that she's doing better and you're getting both sleep time and Ravelry time. That site rules (thanks again for the invite)!

Great to see you and the peanut! Maybe I should contact you for a solid outline and update of The 4400. I didn't watch it much last summer. Glad to hear that you are well.
