oh god, my heart beats wildly and my hands tremble when i think about how only two more days remain until the last harry potter novel arrives on my doorstep. i wish i had the stamina and time to go to book court again and get the novel at midnight tomorrow but the peanut has zapped me of all energy. dudes, i went to bed at 9:30 last night. i haven't gone to bed that early in a long time! and guess what? the nut woke up at 5AM this morning! ugh. she's going through some major routine changes and we're coming up on the 4 month growth spurt. i want to die!

anyway, i've pre-ordered my book from amazon so that it'll be here on saturday. i often wonder how the UPS delivery guys feel when they drop off these books to happy and excited people of all ages. i'll be constantly looking out the window and waiting with bated breath.

by the way, the NY times just posted its review. it's thankfully devoid of spoilers except for one little piece of information about what the deathly hallows are. kakutani gives the whole series praise and i'm glad to see that she's a fan.

NY times review of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (reg required)

Well, if you're like I am with UPS packages, you'll be checking the tracking website every 15 seconds just to see where your book is!

I can hardly wait. Living on the first floor has its perks, I can look out the window and wait for the truck with ease ;). No midnight party for me either I have to save that babysitting time for reading the book. I have already enlisted the hubby and my mom to keep the kids at bay so I can read uninterrupted.

I am beside myself with anticipation. Had the realization that friends across the world would get the book considerably sooner than me (14 hours in the case of Australia!) and was about to die of jealousy, when I was told that they don't actually get it till Saturday morning, all b/c of US! Ha!
If that isn't confirmation that NYC is the Center of the Universe, I don't know what is.

I almost hate that it's so soon ~ I enjoy the suspense so much! Because once that book is out, it's over. I have my Amazon delivery set up, but I'm also hitting the book party at midnight for another copy. Just because.

I'd better buy a fresh box of tissues too. I know I'll need them.

9:30 is my usual bedtime! =)
I pre-ordered the book through Amazon too because midnight is way too late for me and I wanted to avoid the crowds. I'll be anxiously looking out the window for the UPS truck as well.

Tenterhooks! At least you'll soon have the book in hand to console you if the Peanut gets you up at ungodly hours. Think it'll be too heavy to hold in one hand while you feed her? Probably. Wake KP up and make him read it aloud to you, I say.

Ohh, I'm SO with you! I preordered a book, but I know that the boyfriend also wants to start it the minute he gets home from work on Saturday, so I'm going to the midnight party for my copy. It's so silly to have two copies of a hardcover book, but we will be giving one copy away to a friend.

And I'm not even reading the review until I"m finished with the book--no spoilers at all!

I, too, will be waiting for delivery from Amazon. I just have to hope it arrives before I leave for the summer gala.

Sorry about the sleep deprivation, peanut struggles with those growth spurts doesn't she? Poor things.

My book is supposed to arrive tomorrow. I'm not leaving the apt until it get here. I can not wait to start reading this book. Are you going to read it to Peanut? This is going to be Max's bedtime story for the next few days.

I will also be peering out the window with that crazed look in my eye, waiting impatiently for the UPS guy! Just finished re-reading #6 the other day, so I am totally totally totally geeked for this. But sad, too. :(
