i cast-on for the peanut's pants but it's nothing to show yet. i also washed and dried some fabric this week that i'm going to make a skirt out of. i've been reading up on pattern drafting and i hope to do all my measurements tonight and start on it tomorrow. so, since there's not much to show, i thought that i would pass on some randomness to give you something to do this friday.

first off, i ran across this article on wired on how to speed up your mac. i did pretty much everything that it suggested and i do see an improvement on my powerbook's performance so i'm passing it on to you.

and here are some videos (click through from RSS to see. i promise. it's only good stuff.)

i showed you a frozen grand central last time but here it is happening in trafalgar square with a lot more people.

i love this video.. this little girl is so cute.

if you know who saul bass is you'll really appreciate this one.

p.s. the peanut learned to crawl earlier this week so the walker is no longer in use! another thing that we can store and not trip over anymore :)

yay for crawling. watch out, walking will come up quick now. i think the boys think running is cool despite having yet to master the walking thing. i just used your tutorial for uploading from flickr. thanks so much. cannot comment on the vids as i cannot view them on my work laptop, arggg.

OMG what a cutie!

Thanks for the Wired link - I am most definitely going to do that either sometime in the next two weeks or when I get home, depending on if I can use my friend's external here.

(Note to self: MUST upgrade RAM to 2GB, 512 really isn't cutting it anymore! Is it worth it to get the Apple memory, or go third party? 2 years with my Ringo and I am still a Mac neophyte, I am worried that I am going to make it blow up one of these days...though given my track record with my old Sony Vaio - reboot about 2x a year in the space of 4 years and one blown-up hard drive requiring replacement - I am doing pretty good so far!)

Question though (hope you don't mind me asking!) - I am thinking of just putting all the stuff I want onto an external and just doing a whole system reboot to start "afresh" so to speak. (My screen has been "dimming" for some reason too, even though it's on full brightness level). Is that a seemingly-sane idea or am I just still stuck on nasty Windows habits (I can't help it, I miss the "Uninstall" feature, lol).
