so sleepy

i wish i could say that the peanut is a fantastic sleeper and we’re getting a good solid 8 hours every night but i think that would be too much to ask of a two week old. regardless, she’s doing really well and so are we though we’re a little sleep deprived at casa gleek. i’ve done very little knitting lately. the peanut needs to be held a lot so my arms and hands are somewhat occupied. i have been taking pictures and reading a lot though. there are plenty of feeding times when i have at least one hand free for those things!

to prove that she sleeps a lot (be it in one or two hour intervals) here are a few photos.

as that last picture suggests, we’ve been checking bloglines lately and i HAVE been reading your blogs but not necessarily commenting. it’s not easy typing with one hand! but reading blogs gives me something to do while feeding her.

i also want to say thanks to everyone who commented on the last post and sent their congratulations. THANK YOU! seeing all of those emails come in was very nice. alas, i wish i had had the time to respond to you each individually! as you can probably understand, i’ve been too busy being a mom these past two weeks.

by the way, i’m posting guest passes here to my flickr albums of the peanut if you’re so inclined to see them. these guest passes will expire after a while so see them while you can!

peanut – labor and delivery

peanut – the first two weeks

i should be back in action soon with some knitting, i promise. i’ve been collecting some tahki cotton classic to start a ripple afghan and i’m also formulating a top-down raglan in my head. fun!

I’ve been thinking about you!! I’m so glad to see a post. I just love the floppy baby with grandma – the way they can conform to whatever space their in – like they have liquid in their bones.

She’s beautiful! I can’t wait to meet her!

PS – you sound very well – I’m glad to hear it.

btw, i tried replying to your comment the other day but the email bounced. no worries — i just wanted to mention it in case you needed to know :)

VERY cute girl, I’ve got a 5.5 month old myself and she’s a little peanut too. I’ve been very lucky- she’s been a good sleeper.

    Wishing you the best!
