koigu knee highs

about a week ago, i finally finished the koigu knee highs that i started back in october. i only knit on them here and there when i was between projects, or on the train, or waiting for files to upload, so it didn’t seem like they took as long as they did to make.

i used a very loose pattern/recipe that diana had to make these. i did them toe-up and used contrasting colors for the toe, heel, and top ribbing. all in all, they were very easy and required little to no thought.

here you can see the heels which i used my standard short-row heel on. i’m quite pleased with how they turned out. i even like the calf increases though i think that i will do those differently on the next pair. i really like the increases to have a seam up the back.

now the only thing that i have on the needles is my eastlake sweater and i’m barely knitting on it because i’m working on freelance in all of my downtime (which consequently doesn’t feel like downtime, oh well.) i’m going to cast on for some baby socks this weekend, though. i have a friend who is due very soon! must get on that now!
