well, it’s christmas morning here at chez gleek and it seems as if i was a good girl this year! i got one of the geekiest presents possible from KP and i’m loving it.

yep, that’s the start trek DVD boxed set! yep, that’s one of the best gifts ever and i’m not joking. (i’m sure you’re all shaking your heads.) anyway, we trekked out to new jersey yesterday to visit my uncle’s house for christmas eve dinner. i got a chance to take some pictures of his serious nutcracker collection.

so, not only was i in training all this week off-site of work with hardly any access to the internet, on thursday i either pulled a muscle in back or pinched a nerve and i’ve been laid up ever since. i’ve been glued to my couch with a heating pad for days now and it’s getting a little old. i think that i’m going to be able to get up and go out to the met tonight with KP to see carmen, though, which is nice. i had KP pick me up some of those thermacare heating pads which i can glue to my body and hopefully stave off the pain for an evening. heat seems to be the only thing that keeps the pain away.

in the meantime, i’m getting a lot knitting done! i’ve finished the first of my jaywalkers…
